A batter vs pitcher matchup, or BvP, is the career head-to-head record between a specific hitter and pitcher: how many at-bats they have faced each other and the resulting hits, home runs, strikeouts, and slash line. It captures history that season totals alone miss.
Small BvP samples are noisy, so treat them as one input, not a verdict. A hitter with several home runs and a high OPS in real career at-bats against tonight's starter is worth noting, but pair it with park factors, weather, and current form before betting a home run prop.
The page lists every game on today's slate with a probable or confirmed starter, then shows each opposing hitter's career numbers against that pitcher. Only qualified matchups appear, so a batter needs enough real at-bats against the starter to be meaningful.
