Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 9, 2026
This policy explains what information Dinger Data collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We keep it short and plain.
Who we are
Dinger Data (“Dinger Data,” “we,” “us”) operates the website at dingerdata.app, a baseball analytics tool that provides home run and player prop projections. This policy covers that website and its related services.
Information we collect
We collect only what we need to run the product:
- Account information. When you create an account we store your email address and an encrypted (hashed) password. Authentication is handled through our authentication provider (Supabase).
- Payment information. Subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number. Stripe provides us with limited billing details (such as your subscription status, the last four digits of your card, and billing events) so we can manage your access.
- Usage and device data. Like most websites, we collect basic analytics (pages visited, general location, browser and device type, referring links) to understand how the product is used and to improve it. This is gathered through Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics.
- Content you create. Data you save in the product, such as your pinned players and any odds you log, is stored with your account so it syncs across your devices.
How we use your information
- To create and maintain your account and log you in.
- To process your subscription, grant access to paid features, and handle billing.
- To operate, secure, and improve the product.
- To send you service messages you would expect, such as account, billing, and failed-payment notices. Some of these (for example, notices when a subscription payment fails or a card is about to expire) may be sent on our behalf by Stripe.
We do not sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers that make the product work, and only so they can perform their function for us:
- Stripe for payment processing and billing communications.
- Supabase for authentication and account data storage.
- Vercel for hosting and performance analytics.
- Google Analytics for usage analytics.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Dinger Data or others. Each provider processes data under its own privacy terms.
Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and to measure usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking them may affect sign-in and some features.
Data retention
We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we must keep records to meet legal, tax, or accounting obligations (for example, payment records).
Your choices and rights
- You can update your email or password from your account.
- You can cancel your subscription anytime from the Account page.
- You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information by emailing us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA; we honor those requests.
Security
We use reputable providers and reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
Dinger Data is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us information, contact us and we will remove it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes will be communicated where appropriate.
